At the 2008 Masters, Trevor Immelman became the first South African to win the Masters since Gary Player in 1978. Immelman started the tournament with back-to-back 68's on Thursday and Friday and never looked back. Tiger Woods managed to do it again. Not that he won, but how did he finish 2nd? Tiger basically calculated correctly, except that me didn't get about 2 birdies he probably thought he would, and Immelman (save one gaff at hole #16) just didn't give any ground on Sunday. And the life of the event, always-smiling 27-year old Brandt Snedeker managed to finished tied for 3rd. Last year's winner Zach Johnson finished tied for 20th due to a bad 2nd and 4th round. And, Lefty finished 5th. The full results here. We have complete History of the Masters Winners Statistics.
