For the 2nd time in 3 years, the Florida Gators (13-1) are the National Champs. It is the 3rd year in a row an SEC team has won the championship. Utah finishes the season undefeated at 13-0. Utah beat 3 ranked opponents during the season (TCU, BYU, and Alabama). Florida was 6-0 vs ranked opponents; their only loss to Mississippi which finished the season 9-4 after beating Texas Tech in the Cotton Bowl.
